The Russound SLM-1K Universal Surface Mount IR Kit is a 1-size fits all solution for any IR installation. It works with LED, LCD and plasma TVs and is resistant to fluorescent and compact fluorescent (CFL) interference for reliable operation. Color-coded connections with easy to use 3.5 mm plugs assure correct configurations and reduce the time on a job site. This universal IR kit will work with all remote controls using carrier frequencies between 36 kHz and 58 kHz, including Philips RCMM IR codes. This makes it compatible with RCMM equipped devices such as those from AT&T U-verse and Sky TV.

right out of the box, this thing does not work. I have another one of these, same exact thing, it works flawlessly. The receiver does not work. It does not trigger the IR confirm light, or maybe the IR switch is poor. Whatever be the case, not worth the hassle of ordering to go to frustration of it not working and figuring out returns….
